The 2022 Landscape Awards recognising the best work of ALCI members across a broad range of landscaping categories were presented at the Mullingar Park Hotel on 2nd April.

Gary Graham, judge together with Kerrie Gardiner, commented: “This is a very slick project, using a restricted palette of high-quality materials and plants put together beautifully in this Cork garden at the rear of a recently built semi-detached. Superb use of Kilkenny limestone, especially the step detailing combined with a charcoal grey brick used on the raised beds that create the split-level lawn and seating area. A lot of materials were transported through a narrow side entrance and a late change from lawn to synthetic required lots more stone and blinding. Great use of mature plants, Elaeagnus, Feijoa selowiana, Olives, Jasmine creating a well-considered, robust, and timeless garden that complements the house and I was reliably informed that it kept the family sane during Covid”.
